Help! Cannot Find My Recipe For Dinner Rolls

I found the recipe here and thought I'd saved it to my Clippings, but no...I tried Search to no avail, in large part because I can't remember the precise name. I think it's Heavenly Rolls, or Angel Rolls. I tried them for the first time Thanksgiving 2 yrs. ago, and I only make them on Thanksgiving.

I would be so grateful if someone knows the ones I'm looking for and can steer me to the recipe. Thanks!

Heavenly Dinner Rolls
1 cup milk
1/2 cup softened butter
2 eggs
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
4 cups bread flour
2 1/2 teaspoons yeast (bread machine yeast)
Mix room temperature milk - soft butter and 2 eggs in one bowl until blended. Pour this mixture into bread machine. Then mix sugar - salt and bread flour in another bowl. Pour the dry mixture into bread machine.
Now add the yeast to top of flour and just take fork to drag yeast into the flour. Do not get yeast wet at this point. Set machine to dough cycle and let it go.
Remove the dough from the machine when cycle is complete. Knead gently on a
lightly floured surface. Divide and shape into 24 smooth round rolls.
Place the rolls about 3/4 inch apart on a greased sheet pan. Cover the dough with a cloth and allow it to double in a warm place. I use my oven with just the oven light on - works perfectly.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for about 15 - 18 minutes. Brush with butter or a mixture of butter and honey while still warm from the oven.
I have made these with all purpose flour but I find the bread flour works best. I think I will make 30 rolls or so from this mixture as the rolls are large with 24. My family likes the bigger rolls tho.
They freeze very well as they do make a lot.

tami_ohio, thanks so much for your quick response. I wasn't going to make these this year, in an effort to simplify. No one had ever baked rolls from scratch until I did 2 yrs. ago and I thought it wouldn't be a problem going back to heat'n serve. But I got so many disappointed reactions to this that I've decided they're worth the effort.

I have made sure the recipe is now in My Clippings!

Found it! LOL Here's what I posted in 2006, if anybody else is interested. Not sure why it didn't come up in the first search Lori's Lemon Coolers 1/2 cup powdered sugar 1/3 cup sugar 1/3 cup shortening 1 egg 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 1/8 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 cups cake flour 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1 tablespoon water 1 cup powdered sugar 1/2 teaspoon unsweetened lemonade mix Directions: -Preheat oven to 325 degrees. -Cream together sugars, shortening, egg, vanilla, and salt in a large bowl. -Add the flour and baking powder. Add 1 tablespoon of water and continue mixing until dough forms a ball. -Roll dough into 3/4-inch balls and flatten slightly onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. -Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until cookies are light brown. -As cookies bake, combine 1 cup powdered sugar with the lemonade drink mix in a large plastic bag and shake thoroughly to mix. -When the cookies are removed from the oven and while they are still hot, add four or five at a time to the bag and mix until the cookies are well coated. Repeat with the remaining cookies. (Makes about 4 dozen cookies) NOTES: *This recipe doubles easily - in fact I don't ever remember NOT doubling it! *I use Crystal Lite Lemonade Mix. *For an even more lemony flavor, sub some or all of the tablespoon of water for lemon juice. I used water in the cookies I sent out.

Tannabanana, I regularly freeze unbaked bread dough. I mix, let rise, form the rolls and then freeze. If they are used within a couple of months they will be fine. I take mine out the night before and let them thaw/rise overnight in the refrigerator, I'm talking about 8 pm the night before. I take them from the refrigerator in the morning, let them come to room temp and rise, then bake just like I would if they were fresh. It also works great for fresh cinnamon rolls for breakfast! My favorite right now is Sol's Honey Rolls. The recipe does not call for kneading but I put it into my bread machine anyway, works like a charm: Sol's Honey Rolls 1 Cup milk 1/2 Cup honey 1/2 Cup butter [1 stick] 2 Tsp salt 1 -2 tablespoons granulated sugar* 2 pkges. dry yeast 1/2 Cup warm water [110ÃÂº-115ÃÂºF] 2 large eggs lightly beaten 6- 6 1/2 cups All Purpose flour Heat the milk, add butter and salt. Set aside while butter melts. Stir in the honey. In another bowl, combine the warm water, yeast and sugar. Let it sit until yeast is completely dissolved, about 6-7 minutes. Combine milk mixture with yeast mixture. And stir in the beaten eggs. Beat in 4 cups flour. Add enough remaining flour to make a soft, but not sticky dough. Place dough in greased bowl, turning to coat both sides. Cover and allow dough to rise 1 hour. Punch dough down, and allow to rise another hour. Punch down again, and shape dough into rolls. Let it rise again 45 minutes to an hour or until doubled in volume. Preheat your oven to 375F and bake rolls for 25 minutes or until a deep golden brown. For a very soft crust, brush rolls with melted butter as soon as they come out of the oven. Note: You could omit the sugar from this recipe altogether. I sometimes use about a teaspoon of the honey called for in the recipe to feed the yeast instead of the sugar. As an alternative, I like these and I do them in the bread machine too: Butternut Squash Rolls 1 package (1/4 ounce) active dry yeast 1 cup warm milk (110ÃÂ° to 115ÃÂ°) 1/4 cup warm water (110ÃÂ° to 115ÃÂ°) 3 tablespoons butter, softened 2 teaspoons salt 1/2 cup sugar 1 cup mashed cooked butternut squash 5 to 5-1/2 cups all-purpose flour, divided In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in milk and water. Add the butter, salt, sugar, squash and 3 cups flour; beat until smooth. Add enough remaining flour to form a soft dough. Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour. Punch dough down. Form into rolls; place in two greased 10-in.cast-iron skillets or 9-in. round baking pans. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 30 minutes. We usually have 20+ at Thanksgiving and this is what works for me because I like to do as much as possible ahead: Buy 2 smallish (12-14lb) turkeys. Cheap turkeys are fine. The small ones go fast so look as soon as they go on sale. Cook one the day before and make your gravy. This is the "back up" turkey, for leftovers and possible seconds. Slice it and put it on a platter with some broth. Buy a spiral sliced ham. It will impress all those thinking turkey is the only meat and it is generally much appreciated. You can bake it in a crock pot if necessary or, even better, a roaster oven. Serve the second turkey hot from the oven and slice to order. Like a carving buffet! I have never had to use the turkey form the previous day because I also have the ham. However, it IS nice to have to give people leftovers to take home and, of course, the gravy is done. All the side dishes? Make your stuffing now and freeze. It reheats great. Mashed potatoes will keep warm for hours and cranberry sauce can be made 3 days ahead. Roll dough can be made the night before and baked that morning..or made earlier and frozen. Ok, I do get up really early and make pies because I like fresh pies, but the dough can be made 2 days before and kept in the refrigerator tightly wrapped. We like marinated asparagus..nice to have a cold vegetable made the day before. And I'm really blessed to have relatives who bring most everything else even if it is yucky...like green bean casserole. They like it though! And the best part- dh will clean while I cook.

This is a recipe I got from this site also called angel rolls or biscuits.....Always a huge hit at my house.
Buttermilk Refrigerator Angel Rolls
1 Package dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water
1/2 cup melted butter
4 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon soda
2 cups buttermilk
Dissolve yeast in warm water in a large mixing bowl. Let sit 5 minutes. Stir in butter
Combine dry ingredients; add to yeast mixture along with buttermilk.
Stir well. Turn dough out on a floured surface, knead gently a few times and shape into a ball. Place in greased bowl, cover, and refrigerate until needed. Keeps for one week.
Break off a soft ball sized lump of dough and roll into a circle about 1/4" thick. Cut into pie shaped wedges and roll up from the wider edge into crescent shapes. You do not have to let them rise again.
Bake on greased baking sheet at 400 for 8-10 minutes
