Last harvest...carrots, celery, beets, fennel...

And a few green tomatoes. Some tiny green pear ones.
I needed to clean out the beds and cover for the winter. I plant carrots down the middle of the tomato beds.
And the celery was still looking great. Not full stalks but healthy leaves and stems. The roots were massive as well as the fennel roots.
It was horrible weather. Snow flurries and damp, cold. Three season farm, no insulation. Woodstove was warm if standing in front of it. But the harvest was great.
Carrots-what to do. Searching but not fond of puree of the baby food kind. Don't like glazed of the sweet kind.

Did manage to have a last smoke of 2 chickens, a couple pork tips and a double stacked sirloin that is so good and smokey...making stock from the chickens. Pork all packed and frozen with a spicy salsa.

Beautiful carrots and enjoying fresh. Nice roasted with other roots. Nothing so far inspiring.
