foods that mix with many foods & vice versa

Would you believe, I couldn't find any online opinions indicating which foods mix well with MANY other foods, and which mix with FEWEST other foods.

For example, I find that mint isn't so compatible with other foods, except perhaps for chocolate, vanilla, cream, sugar and honey.

Then, on the other hand, they used to say that Tofu is the "chameleon" of foods, mixing well with lots of foods. The same can be said for cream and sugar and vanilla.

So I hereby award a Virtual Medal to anyone who can point to an article on this topic.

NO, I do not mean the "Fit For Life" type of diet.
RATHER, referring to peoples' palates and preferences.

FYI, i'm probably comparable to mint (barely compatible with anyone, often cold & shivery, acidic body, etc. Mint is "cold" and associated with acid-reflux.
