Cold or room temp hors d'oeurve?

I have a week's notice for a party on a day I have to do physical work and will be exhausted. It's a cocktail party but pot lucky. I could chicken out and bring cookies, but people bring too many sweets to these kinds of things. People like filled pâte àchoux puffs, but they should be hot. Everything else I can think of should be hotter and fresher.

Any ideas for an easy to make room temperature appetizer to make that isn't cheese, and is yummy?

Or a filling for puffs which can be served room temp?

Some kind of canape maybe?
