Slow Cooker died, info needed for new one

My slow cooker has given up the ghost. I've had it since early 1999 so I suppose it's time to let it go!

Questions...

What size and brand of a slow cooker do you have?

What types of foods do you cook in it the most?

Do you think a 7-qt. size would be too big for two people? I like to slow-cook soups, stews, beans, and whole chickens to portion out and put in the freezer. But sometimes I just want to make a slow-cooker dinner for two or three.

Do you know if the heating elements are all around the sides of your cooker (the way they used to be made for slow cooking) or are the elements all under the bottom?

Is it a true low-temp "slow cooker," or is the liquid boiling after an hour. I could set my old one on "Low" and the liquid would still boil. I want slow and low cooking.
