How to fix my dry stuffing I made today

I made my giblet stuffing today and it turned out very dry. I haven't cooked it yet. I put in too many chicken livers. I added an extra 1/2 cup of butter above what the recipe called for, but it's still too dry. Can I just as some water to get it to the right consistency?
