Should I chuck this batch of strawberry jam?

I experimented and am not sure the results are safe. I made a batch of strawberry jam. Instead of mashing the fruit by hand, I put it in the mash attachment of the Magimix, which resulted in a uniform mush. When I cooked it, there was no way to skim the foam without having to discard the entire batch. I put it up anyway, but now am wondering if what I think is increased air content means it won't be safe to eat. Has anyone ever tried this? Please advise.
