For your birthday present, I give you an extra hour of sleep, grin. Oh and I waived at you from the 405 yesterday, on the way to/from Santa Clarita. Hope you caught it, LOL.

Thank you everyone for the good wishes! It began very nicely, lots of phone calls etc. We had a late brunch, then a movie and out to dinner with my parents. Unfortunately later in the evening something tore my stomach apart and I spent the rest of the night you know where. I'm quite ill today, the doctor saw me and thinks it might be an infection. I'm staying on clear liquids for the time being. Sigh, definitely not my best birthday! LOL, Woodie Absolutely, Diana! How nice to see messages from Weed and Doris!

Thanks everyone, I had a wonderful day! I took the day off to spend it with DD. She relinquished kid duties to her DH and off we went to the outlet mall for some "girl" time! We returned to celebrate at Benihana with the entire family. The little guys love eating there and the fun atmosphere adds to the celebration. No dirty dishes, no tired cooks. A good time was had by all and I feel blessed with all the good wishes! Lars- Earlier this week, DH and I had an excellent dinner with friends at Casa del Mar's restaurant, "Catch". During the summer I had bought a coupon on Travelzoo for a prix fixe meal for two. The food was superior, we loved the laid back ambiance and the music in the lounge. Thank you everyone for the good wishes, kind words and for remembering my "big" birthday! Annie, we followed your suggestion by celebrating long and hard! The birthday kicked off with a "family" party on Saturday night at a sensational Italian restaurant. To make the evening even more fun, the star of "Castle" was at the next table! On Sunday evening we dined with friends. The company was great, the food was good, but the dessert was amazing! Drunken figs on a fudgy chocolate slice with berries and vanilla ice cream! Divine! Today DH took me to the Bel Air Hotel for lunch. It's a beautiful and peaceful oasis nestled in the hills and surrounded by homes of astounding size! Wolfgang Puck happened to be on site shooting some photos for an upcoming book. We chatted a bit and then enjoyed a yummy lunch topped off by a piece of gluten free chocolate cake that was fantastic! *I was at a ballgame today (where else would I be) and a little brother of one of the players was in the stands; in lieu of Beau being there I kept flirting with him and I think I creeped him out. I've got to watch myself!!!
