Linda, Nope, we decided not to fly in because our jet is being serviced. LOL Lee, It's certainly not as exotic as your birthday dinner. Other Cathy/Maddie, I hope it's still good; I haven't heard much about it lately. Other Kathy/CdL, I ran into the little ones at the grocery store a few hours ago so I was happy--well not really, they were with the other grandma--but better than nothing. Sooz, All month? That's a thought.

Thanks Everyone for all the Birthday Wishes! I spent the day opening block packages and shopping for fabric! Couldn't have been much better than that! I love all the blocks! All of you did a wonderful job on them! Thank you all so much! Bill, I'm looking forward to extending the celebration for when your block arrives. ;) Debbie, It wasn't easy! Thank you all for the birthday wishes!

I started off the day with the awards assembly at school where both Beau (2nd grade) and Lily (kindergarten) received "good citizen" awards.

Raymond is taking me to dinner; he found a restaurant that gives a free meal on your birthday--how cheapthru> special is that??

Thanks again friends.

As for the dinner, it wasn't good. It was a super large Asian buffet! The food on the hot bar did not taste fresh and was not hot. A lot of the chicken items were chewy, like they had been sitting there too long. The tempura was cold and rubbery. The sushi bar was huge but some of the Edomae-sushi was scary. The only saving item was the Peking Duck; I saw it as it came out of the kitchen. It was better than most and reminded me of what I had at the Peking Duck House in NY.
