Full StoryMy public radio station is gearing up for the fall fund drive, and while most food for the volunteers is being taken care of by area restaurants, the staff member organizing that aspect confided tearfully to me that she's short a lunch or two.
I blithely said "well, heck; we could make a big pan of lasagna, get a few loaves of bread and that will take care of everything."
It wasn't until she stopped sobbing with relief that I realized I had just volunteered!
I've made lasagna on occassion without hearing any complaints (altho' it's not my favorite dish) so I could dig out a decent recipe, but...
If you have a tried and true recipe (that serves about 15 and comes in meat and vegetarian varietes) -- I'd love to have it! Plus any tips on cooking that large a batch would be much appreciated.
I'm working the afternoons, but I'll be home in the morning, so I can assemble and bake it before I come in. I'll pick up a few loaves of good bread and bake 'em with butter and garlic.
Appreciate any advice -- and support your public radio station!
