New kitchen toy, a long slow cook on the grill and mushrooms

My matzoh ball soup attempt has been delayed by beautiful weather. On the other hand I did my first ever long slow cook on the BGE. A 6 lbs pork shoulder blade roast at 225-250 for 10 hrs. Shredded and served with wwheat ciabbatas, cole slaw, tomato ginger chutney and white tomatoes. Delicious!!!!!

A couple of friends who came to visit from out of town to exchange perennials and meet kittens stayed to eat. My mom and her SO also joined us. One of the friends is a mushroom hunter and discovered a huge clump of edible honey mushrooms about 15 feet from my door. So everyone got a pile to take home.

And finally I just got a new (to me) kitchen tool - a vitamix! Very excited but I haven't made anything in it yet. Arrived last night when I was blanching a huge bunch of chard and mustard.
