Using whey to make bread

I have used whey from straining yogurt for a few things but am wondering how it would be in bread making. Could I use it ounce for ounce in place of water or milk , does anything need to be added or reduced or taken away in the original recipe? I usually make whole grain breads. Many thanks to any of you bread bakers who can help me.
