iOS 8 - loading pictures?

Haven't been able to post pictures from my phone since upgrading. Anyone else? I really wanted to show dcarch left and right chicken wings from the same package, but I guess he'll have to take my word for it. ;-) No problem on iPad or my wife's phone, still on iOS 7.

I don't have it, but here's a good article on the subject from CNET.

There are pictures in the article. It seems clear. It just may take some time for your apps to catch up to the new system.

Thank you for the nice comments! I'm blushing LOL! OK this Amaranthus really is 'Intense Purple'. However since these were ALL self-sown from last years winter sown plants I had to cut them back a few times to keep them at certain heights depending on where they grew. They really made a fantastic border. They usually are the favorites of earwigs, but they weren't such a bother this year. Plant names 1. Self sown 'Moulin Rouge' Sunflower. Didn't come true but so what! There were a few to come true but I think these were prettier! 2. Mammoth Sunflower 3. Another Moulin Rouge self-sown plant 4. Rudbeckia hirta and Amaranthus 5. Cherry Profusion Zinnia and Amaranthus 6. Blue Flax, Scabiosa (burgundy & lavender), Coreopsis lanceolata and Maltese Cross 7. Coreopsis tinctoria, Profusion Zinnia, Amaranthus, Verbena bonariensis and Feverfew 'Flore Pleno' 8. Blue Flax and Coreopsis lanceolata 9. Amaranthus (of course!), Coreopsis tinctoria, Marigold (noid), Verbena bonariensis, Yarrow Lavender allowed to fully bloom, Echinacea and Venidium 'Jaffa Ice' (the orange) not fully open on cloudy days. There is a Showy Milkweed that is refusing to bloom in 3 years! Echinacea...you can see Blue Flax in rebloom at the corner Opium Poppy...Papaver somniferum Venidium 'Jaffa Ice (white and orange), Gaillardia aristata 'Burgundy' and some reblooming larkspur Coreopsis tinctoria and Gaillardia Cactus Zinnia, Snapdragon 'Black Prince' (perennial here) and Harlequin Marigold Creeping thyme (Thymus serypllum...might have the y and p backwards!) before bloom on June 7th, unknown Dianthus and Blue Flax and Nigella in the distance. Other stuff not very identifiable. Here is what the strip looked like on April 4th when I was redoing the border with rocks to help define from the gravel road! Amazing ain't it? LOL! and May 6th... A long border of Amaranthus plants August 20th in the gravel road that borders another bed. These were broadcasted here last fall. Grew to about 3- 4' tall but couldn't tell from the picture. Jean: I have Win 8.1 and it took me several tries to figure out. I have read recently that they will be making a change to Win 8 and make it more like Win 7 which mirrored closely with XP. If your uploading pics from your Picture folder on your PC this is how I did it. Open Pbucket and click on UPLOAD, then on the next screen in the upper left corner your will see a tab that says "Your Bucket". From the drop down menu, choose where you want to save the files. AFTER you choose where to save the pictures from the drop down menu, click on Choose Photo/Videos tab in the center of the screen. It should open another screen on your hard drive which has a file labeled "LIBRARIES" among other files.The icon looks like a bunch of file folders. Click on "LIBRARIES" and choose the PICTURE folder. Your photos should be viewable and just choose the ones you want to upload and then click on "OPEN" button on the lower right hand side of your screen. It should close and Pbucket should start loading. Just the best way I know to explain how to do it. Julia

Sharon-Wow the ice did push those rocks out of the water. I have never seen anything like that before. Thanks for all the compliments about Brittney. Do you know when you save change it never looks like it is as much as it turns out to be. Well...I have this jar that counts change as you put it in so I am filling it with quarters to give to Brittney on her graduation day. It should hold close to $300.00 or more (I'm still working on getting it full). I'm going to offer her a check for $100.00 OR the money in the jar. Her Mom laughed and said she will think the check is more and take it. That is what I hope she does and then I can tell her you just turned down $300.00 for a $100.00 check Brittney. Of course after kidding with her awhile I will give her the money jar. Dirtpig-I can't pull up your pictures...Boo Hoo Carol-I love all the projects you have started...I'm so jealous of your soon-to-be greenhouse...I want one. Sassy-Wow that daylily bud is early...My irises are just now budding, it will be awhile for the daylilies. Got to get packed, we are leaving for Stone Mountain, Ga. I updated my mini. I don't see it as an improvement at all. It feels like change for change sake -- something to make the stockholders happy. No common sense applied. I spent two hours with the online cheat sheets undoing "improvements." It's harder to read. I hate the ugly blue background and it forced me to take a photo of my table and use that temporarily because they deleted the other choices. Some of the icons are weird looking. It's slow and not all the apps are fully compatible. I'm waiting to update the other device until I'm forced to because that's the one I use every day. Perhaps there is something this new OS does better than the old one. I just haven't found it.

Sharon - I'm not really an Apple guy, just my current phones and my son's iPod. Although now that I think about it, I guess that makes it every non-company owned "computer" in the house. Our desktops collect dust because I haven't been motivated to rebuild them AGAIN.

JC- not sure if this is another iOS 8 glitch but your link takes me right back to this thread?

Whoops! I'm sure it was some kind of operator error or lag or something that got the address from the wrong tab.

I have to admit to being a no-Apple kind of thinker, except when it comes to app driven mobile devices. I always check out the competition, but never find any better than iPhone/iPad, and who wants a phone that can get a Russian virus? Or a phone as loaded up with security as my desktop computer, and equally slow? Every time I ask someone to show me why their phones are better than the iPhone, they say, "Well, it's not. It's the best for the price." OTOH, I'm an old timey programmer and I won't even touch Windows 7, which makes @$%#!-all sense. One of my all time favorite videos. It's dated and has gotten fuzzy with age, but it's still hysterical. :)

Just for grins for folks who remember the Reagan administration, my all time favorite.

Yep, that's what I get. How's the 6? My screen is so cracked I could get cuts from swiping; been debating fixing it vs waiting for 6 vs going back to android.

I spent all of yesterday on the phone with Apple, trying to get my iPad to work with IOS8. I will slowly retreat from the world of Apple, despite pressure from my peers. I will not go into the sundry and sordid details of my Apple adventures, except to say yesterday's upshot was that I will not be able to do certain things on my iPad until I cave and download IOS 8 to my iPhone and my iMac. Well, that ain't gonna happen until I receive voluminous reassurances tha IOS 8 has gotten it kinks worked out. And he couldn't have told me that before I spent 5 (five) hours on the phone with him? Apple was too much about Steve. He's gone and the company has diminished.

Oh, heavens, those links are hilarious. "Mac: Crash Different."

Reminds me of Jay Leno: What's the difference between a Mac and a PC? When a Mac battery explodes, the fire is cooler and edgier.

What things? My ipad is running iOS 6 and all is well. No problems here. But I never, never update any iOS device past the version of iOS it came with. Learned that the hard way with the iPad 1 and my old ipod touch.

The problem is with Safari and IOS 8. Apple is working on a fix. Will have to wait to upload!

Oh, for heaven's sake! That's what they meant by "it'll take awhile for other apps to catch up"?????? Boneheaded. I usually do one level up before I refuse to update, but you'd think if they were going to entirely revamp one of the central tasks of the phone, they'd do so in a backwards compatible way.

Caminnc, if you were posting a picture, it didn't show up. Which I'm saying because sometimes it'll show locally (on your own screen) when it isn't showing through the ether.
