Rib help

I need to improve my rib recipe. It used to always turn out great but lately, they have been a little dry, so I have finished on the barbeque with a store bought sauce. Here is the recipe:

Barbequed pork spare ribs

2 lb. baby back ribs
4 tbsp. barbecue sauce
4 tbsp honey
4 tbsp malt vinegar
1 tsp. 5 spice (I leave out)
1 tbsp. Chinese chili sauce (or Tabasco to taste)
1/3 cup dry sherry (I use a little more)
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1 inch piece ginger, grated (I leave out as Tony doesn't like it)

Marinate overnight. I put them in a pan with sides and slow roast, covered for the first 45 minutes (300 or so) for about 1 1/2 hours or until liquid has evaporated and ribs are tender. Baste frequently. If it dries up before the meat is tender, add chicken broth.

I found a recipe for barbeque sauce from Bobby Flay (mesa barbeque) and wondered if that would be good on it ( I would sub. chipotle for the other peppers). Or, should I start from scratch maybe with a rub or different marinade?

Thoughts?
