unrefrigerated baked meat loaf. Do I dare?

| I left some baked meat loaf unrefrigerated for about 19 hours. My mother gave it to me and I stuck it in my purse, where it remained until about five minutes ago. The pocketbook has been in my AC'd kitchen.
Can I still eat it? I don't have anything else for dinner and I don't feel like going to the store. I mean, if Johnliu ate his beef sub with mayo after it had been in the heat for two days and lived to tell about it, can I risk this?
The inside of my bag smells like meat loaf, but not bad meat loaf. |

| No. In case you missed it. NO!!!!!!! In mid December if you left your purse in the car, perhaps. |

Sure you can eat it.....sure it most likely won't make you sick.....but the probability that it WILL make you sick is too large for me.... toss it....eat cereal. |

| Ooo yeah, Jessy, good idea, or maybe one of those dogs on the street that barks all the time. Heh, heh. I am headed out to take a walk on the nature trail of a local college. There's a yogurt place nearby, so maybe I'll have frozen yogurt for dinner. Thanks for talking me out of the meat loaf. Don't tell my mom I let her meat loaf go bad or i will be in trouble. |

| Good plan. I'm not as fussy as most, but I would toss that meat loaf so fast your head would spin :-) |

| Yeah, I did. I had Cheerios with banana for dinner, as suggested by Linda. I am def an ordinary mortal. Sigh. |

| Once again the Cooking Forum saves another member from a very bad decision - "to eat it....or not too eat it?" Tune in tomorrow when we hear dcarch say "I can't remember if I used a beet sauce or red paint to decorate my plate! Would it hurt me if I took a little taste to find out?" Tomorrow on "As the Forum Turns." ;o) |

| Ha ha. Saved by the CF. Fortunately I didn't end up in General Hospital being cared for by The Doctors. I will live to Search for Tomorrow, along with All My Children. You are my Guiding Light.
