Hold on to your hat, I have 11 of them Fragrant Bouquet Fragrant Dream Guacamole , and The Shining (Cathedral Windows sport) Sweet Innocence, very recent addition Avocado was a bonus plant, perfect choice for me Fried Bananas, one of my favorites Fried Green Tomatoes Holy Mole, another bonus plant and I am pleased with it too Stained Glass The Shining (Cathedral Windows sport) Fragrant King And here is the Emerald Charger, which I got from Bob Solberg. For some reason, I feel it looks a lot like some of this family....but cannot find at this moment what I read about it. Anyway, hope Steve_Mass sees it for his question about Cathedral Windows....

Thanks everyone! It's so nice to get birthday greetings every year, even though I pretty much only lurk these days. I just don't cook much anymore, although that might change, ya never know. I have had a nice bday week, starting Friday night with dinner out. I had a huge ribeye topped with gorgonzola butter...ooooh baby was it good. Then Saturday was a family dinner - a massive brisket and spaetzle were the stars, along with lemon angel pie - meringue crust with lemon cream filling. Yum. Tonight I went to my current favorite Vietnamese place with my best friend, and tomorrow I am certain when I get into work that my entire office will be shrouded in black. (It's my big 5-OH!!!) Thanks again!

We have quite a few more tonight Jasdip. Just the four of us, with DH supervising when we did the yearlings. Tonight we have around 80 head of cows to vaccinate, and then the same amount of calves to do. I figure we will have a group of about a dozen people. DH and BIL just brought the heifers and their calves in the corral. We will start rounding up the rest in about half an hour. Jeff, where were you when I was a girl guide? My favorite meal as a kid was beans and franks! LOL Sjerin, in about a week, when we ship most of the cattle to community pasture and summer grass, my work is done at home until we gather in the fall. I don't have to work, but if I didn't have a job for the summer, I would go nuts. One can only garden for so long, and then it would mean sitting around getting fat, and at my age, that is WAY to EASY to do. LOL

on the guaca ... looks like the oldest leaf ... should be on the outside of the crown ... if so.. probably some very minor transplant shock.. that is just showing ... pull off the leaf.. and get over it ... the rest looks fine ... the other ... just some random leaf damage ... ignore.. or pull off the leaf .. i think you are new to hosta ... there simply aren't that many problems with H that require much more that just ignoring them .. or snapping off an ugly leaf ... and that is why i starting growing them ... carefree ... i like to sum it up by saying.. did you know they will live on the driveway ... and they will.. but they wont be pretty ... lol ken
