How can I make my own seasoning mixes?

caflowerluver

I saw a recipe I would like to try, but it used prepackaged seasoning Sazon and Adobo. Sazon seasoning contains mono sodium glutamate (MSG), salt, garlic, and coriander and color boosters and in Puerto Rico it has dried cilantro, paprika, saffron, garlic powder, ground cumin and salt.

Both have salt in the mix and I am now on a low salt diet. And I stopped eating MSG years ago. How do I figure out the correct propotions for each spice? Anyone have dry seasoning mixes recipes?

Thanks.

Clare
