Thank you, everyone! We all had a fantastic time! Lots of good party food! Lots of people as well! I still have some cake left and very little of the tea left as well. Jane, lol no ladies rushing after me, but that's okay since I'm not looking. The Pink Lady Cake is a recipe I got out of a cookbook mom bought from the Dollar General called Quick And Easy Family Baking: Cakes, Cookies, Pies. & Breads That Anyone Can Bake. It's a fairly new cookbook (2011). I'll be happy to share the recipe again! Pink Lady Cake 1 18 oz. box strawberry cake mix (15 oz. works as well) 3 eggs 1 teaspoon lemon extract 1 20 oz. can strawberry pie filling Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat cake mix, eggs, and lemon extract in bowl. Fold in pie filling. Pour in sprayed, floured 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Cake is done when toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Serves 12-16. Add prepared vanilla frosting or frozen whipped topping, thawed (I use the frozen whipped topping). NOTE: I always sprinkle a little powdered sugar over the cake after I take it out of the oven, before I frost it. Annie, my theatre friends (which we say our theatre family lol) always praise my cooking. I recieved a lot of compliments this evening on both the cake and the tea. Makes me feel proud of myself :-). Real nice ornaments .My favorite is the real fat snowman on the top left,and of course your stars,one of these days i'm going to try my hand at those stars. I'll have to take a picture of my walnut ornie/desk sitter.I bought it years ago at a craft fair,it has googly eyes,a pom pom nose and a sea shell glued on to the bottom to form the neck and make it stand,and the hat is made with a styroform cup that they melted down in the oven and formed it into a hat,and is adorned with a red rose bud.Cute and like i said i've had it for years,it sits here by my computor. OK i just took the pictures so i don't forget,i'll upload them a little later so you can see. Kathi

I agree with Janie, make some peanuts using Sculpy or paper mache, Dances. I hope Elmo stays safe this year, yikes! Make sure you unplug those lights when you're not around, Janie. Ideas for the peanut ornies came from pinterest. Adella- get the unsalted, roasted peanuts. Hobby Lobby has that cool yarn, it's by Yarn Bee, Chrysalis/california sister is the color, it's variegated and wild! Here's a link to the directions for the snowmen. I'm with adellabedella. You have to tell the ladies that you can't stopâ¦.we look forward to it. I'm sure the cross is lovely but doesn't show up as well in the picture. My favorite, the clothespin dolls. Reminds of many years ago when I made clothespin place card holders for Christmas. They were a lot of work and I should have collected and saved them over the years, but I didn't. I let the nieces and nephews play with them.
