Nice flavor. The flowers turn it pink. Only need a 24hr soaking, then strain. I'll decide tonight, after tasting, what to make...maybe a couple cold salads...i'm soaking some lentils to sprout and a bag of garbanzos.
The subtle chive flavor is not that inspiring beyond a nice garnish. Dehydrated chives are not much more that the the flavor of straw. Maybe i'll try a few fresh herbs blended and freeze in ice cube form...just not much else in the garden as abundant as these right now. Vinegar seems to pull out allot of flavor. Maybe a pesto that could be added to all sorts of things...
