| I bought agave syrup for the first time yesterday, and opened it today. There are no instructions on the bottle about refrigeration. I googled for an answer, but I trust y'all more than Google. So, it refrigeration necessary or not? |

| No need to refrigerate agave (nectar) syrup. It is very stable at room temperature open or unopened and is very similar to honey in this respect. Because of its high content of monosaccharides (over 90%) it has a high osmotic pressure and this characteristic helps to inhibit the growth of microorganisms. -Grainlady |
