Wow, thanks! I missed this yesterday, too, probably because I was asleep. You were nice to start this thread, Ann. I had a nice birthday celebration. Earlier in the week I went to a Philadelphia Orchestra performance, which was a gift from my brother. My son sent flowers, candy and a balloon and my mom gave me my favorite kind of gift -- a nice check. Go Mom!

Had dinner out with the family last night at a local mainstay restaurant. All the food was delicious. I had snails for the first time and I won't be having them again. They were too chewy and I kept thinking about the snails I see in the garden. I usually order the weinerschnitzel at this restaurant but I had "pistachio crusted salmon" and it was perfect. Everyone enjoyed their meal.

So, it was a lovely birthday and I am now able to collect my full Social Security (although I am postponing that until age 70). Sigh, the years do sneak up on you. I am lucky in so many ways, so that is what I keep in mind instead of the fact that I am getting creakier every day.

Happy belated birthday! It sounds like you had a great time. I wish you all the best in the coming year.

Sorry I'm a little late to the party but I'm glad you had a good day. Gracious, I have trouble picturing you as someone old enough to collect Social Security if you wished to. You'll always be young in my head :-) Have a great year!

Snails, huh? I'm with you, they're too chewy and I think of those little slimy things on the sides of aquariums, but I'm coming up on the "7 year rule", so I'll have to try again, eventually.
