Maker's Mark Mint Julep Cookies

I was successful -- I used Ina Garten's shortbread recipe, then made a "frosting" of 3/4 cup powdered sugar, about 7 mint leaves, chopped and about 2 T. Maker's Mark. For the "wax" I used white chocolate and once melted added red food coloring. It started to "seize" so I added some cream and it came back together. I just sort of poured it over the top of the "bottle" with a spoon.

They were a hit -- brought home an empty place.
