No Matter How You Slice It

The other thread talks about slicers and mandolines. Of course they have their uses in the kitchen.

I have one which I seldom use. I find it for most of my needs, itâÂÂs quicker just to use a knife, and then there are some other cuts, which the mandoline simply cannot do.

In any case, it is fun to practice knife skills using a knife anyway.
