Brad, I'm not as devoutly religious as some, although Grandma used to remark that I have an "unshakeable faith", but I love the Christmas Eve service at church, the Nativity scenes, the music, all the religious "pomp and circumstance" that surrounds Christmas. I've seen concerts and plays from "A Christmas Carol" to "Nutcracker" to a local magic show with a Christmas theme, Mark O'Connor's Appalachian Christmas and the Grand Rapids Symphony, it's all fun. And the grandkids all come to my house to make and decorate Christmas cookies every year, we go through sprinkles by the pound, I swear, and we all love it. Then we watch "The Grinch" and "Muppet Christmas Carol" and eat cookies, it's my favorite Christmas activity! The part I do not like is the constant sales pitch that starts before Halloween. I'm so darned tired of Christmas carp by Christmas that I'm ready to barf. Ugh. Annie

womanowned, In the past few years I've placed well over 25 Pentair 3050's with an IntelliTouch and 4x160's with EZ8's into service. Last year they offered me a free VF pump, but I passed because I've had no problems with my 2 speed pumps. I think their pumps are really efficient but I haven't had much luck with them on my raised spa, Dust & Vac, and infloor cleaning applications. I've actually had better luck with the 4x160's than the 3050's, because they're not prone to outfoxing theirselves like the VF series. Note, my pool isn't like the average homeowners unit, I have almost 120,000 gallons of water and run my circulation with 3 2-speed pumps through 3 60 sq/ft DE filters, 2 400,000 btu propane heaters, 2 heater/chillers, 2 Polaris 280's, 8 water feature pumps, 5 pool lamps, and 2 spa lamps (one in the tub and one in the cave.) It has it's own 200 amp service drop just like my home. I do appreciate your thinking about me and my situation. In hindsight I should have probably built a smaller home with only 2 air conditioner systems and a much smaller swimming pool, LOL!!! This heat is brutal on everything, most especially outdoor construction workers, and everybody's electric bills. See ya, Kelly

Minnie, I agree with you about the Forsyte Saga the older version, despite being in b and w and 'studio bound' was a much better production. The long story needed the many episodes to help develop the characters and slowly moving 'plot'. Mary re. Lewis GG. You mentioned him some while ago here. As I had never heard of him I looked him up and found his work is not generally known in England. Maybe Sunset Song was made for Scottish TV. For all you Jane Austen fans you probably know that Becoming Jane a film of a short period of her life comes out over here on the 7th March. Austen purists will probably disagree with the storyline that she was in love with a young trainee lawyer Tom Lefoy but the romance came to nothing. It should be a very pretty film, most of the location shots had to be done in Ireland because Hampshire (JA's county) has become too modern and lacking in bucolic charm. Ann Hathaway and James McAvoy play the leads and her sister Cassandra is played by Anna Maxwell-Martin who did so well in Bleak House and is now appearing in black leather as Sally Bowles on the London stage. And Frieda if you didn't see Bleak House add it to your order, a few more $$$'s wont make much difference. It was the best drama series I have ever seen.
