Hello to all. haven't been to this forum In many years. I am a young senior in poor health, living wth dtr, s-i-l & grndsn. I cook my own meals on my own schedule as their cooking / eating style & schedule doesn't work for me. I don't have a lot of storage space in my pantry or fridge / freezer so I try to keep my cooking to small quantities. I don't do much experimenting anymore; sticking to familiar, comfort foods. I really have enjoyed reading about what others are cooking, though. I am now living in Tex / Mex country, after living my entire life in New England. Some foods are impossible or hard to get here. My daughter tells me it was much worse down here 20 years ago. I've had a craving lately for a pasta fagiole I used to make.
It called for pork neck bones. Can't find that cut here; mostly ribs & chops. Since my daughter does my shopping for me & we only have 1 store to shop at, I need to come up with a substitute for neck bones that I can have her look for. Any suggestions ? Laura
