Thanks, guys...after I put it up, I remembered I forgot to add Walter Kennedy....it was so fun buying daylilies at Floyd Cove...it felt like monopoly money...I only wish it was (grin). Just to...hopefully...give you something to look forward to...these are the daylily gardens I visited: Peat/Thompson's new place, Dr. Ted Petit's garden, the Salters'...Ledgewood Gardens, Water Mill Garden, Frank Smith Daylilies, Art Gallery Gardens...Ladybug Daylilies, Kinnebrew Daylily Garden...Floyd Cove Nursery...Reilly Daylily Garden. The last two, my camera was kaput from all the rain....however, never fear, I went back on Sunday (it was actually sunny) and took lots of pictures at Floyd Cove... It should only take me...all year...hehe...to get them all up...but, hey, it'll give us something to pass the winter with! Oh yeah...most of the plants I brought home in pots are putting up rebloom scapes (lucky Florida folks actually get this rebloom...every year...), so I'm hopeful that they'll rebloom with my daylilies...wouldn't that be nice!

Hi Eric, It was so great to finally meet you and Crystal! I totally agree with everything you said about the PSI meeting. I'm a free bird myself, but we could have had some more organization. The trades as you put it, were not thought out or organized. There were too many interruptions during the meetings and we didn't get to hear some people speak, which I really looked forward to.I'm not sure if the PSI meetings have been like this for years, or if this just an unorganized year. The rain sure didn't help though. By the way, the orange/red unnamed passiflora in your photos is P.Glandulosa. Quite the beauty isn't it? I'm currently trying to root one, but not sure it will make it. I want to thank you and Crystal for giving me all those goodies to take home. They are all doing great! I hope yours are doing good too. My P.Cincinnata finally bloomed. I'll have to post some photos, so you can see what yours will look like. I wish we got to hang out more. We ended up relaxing/sleeping that last night, since my hubby didn't feel well. We had to work and then travel out of state again later in the week, so it was a much needed break. What fun times. I've never met any of the KTrs, but have met several of the MN Garden forum group (when I lived in MN) as we had twice yearly plant swaps and a yearly 'Winter Blues' seed swap. It was always great to get together. You guys look like you were having a wonderful time :-)

Really les? Nothing? A lot of it is too foofy for my taste and the LAST thing I need/want is another tchotchke to dust! And I have no room or need for more furniture unless it's on a something comes in so something goes out basis. But I can usually find a way to use gorgeous linens or a piece of old silver in a more modern/funky way. bac717 I generally check only my local Pioneer Press paper because I don't travel great distances for these sales - just not worth it in time/gas/$ for me. If I did this for a business it'd be a different story but this is more entertainment. If there's a particular piece I'm after I'll look online at ads out of my immediate area with Pioneer Press or CL - bought a desk in Hinsdale last month - but generally I stay in the North Shore suburbs. As for meeting somewhere, I think this was attempted not too long ago - maybe it actually came about and I just wasn't aware of the details. GreaterChicagoland being as spread out as it is, it's tough to come up with a place convenient for all. Transportation is an issue for some people if they don't drive so even central locations can be problematic. But I'd sure be willing to try. I'm suburban north so naturally the first thing that comes to my mind is The Botanic Garden - with beautiful fall color, a bit of shopping and a cafe for an afternoon snack. Free admission, but the parking is expensive if you're not a member - $15/car. The Garfield Conseratory is beautiful - not sure what the autumn exhibits are. What are your ideas?
