Shredded Brussel Sprouts

Last night I tried Chef John's shredded brussel sprouts. DH and I really enjoyed the dish, and a neighbor who is a far better cook than I demanded the recipe when I took him and his wife a dish.

I fixed 2 pounds of small sprouts and cutting out the core was a minor pain. I shredded the sprouts in the food processor instead of cutting by hand. I think I will try leaving the core in next time, at least some of them, and see if it needs to come out. Nothing in the recipe other than olive oil, butter, sprouts, lemon juice, salt, pepper--more a technique than a recipe, I guess.
