Thank you, dcarch, and Happy Mother's Day to all you moms, aunts, grandmothers, and everyone who has loved a child.

I have old friends coming to visit this morning and then heading over to see my mother later on. I'll see my son then and with any luck, the older one call. He's not so good at remembering these things!

Thank you so much, same to everyone that has ever played the role as a mom. A mom is not only a person that gives birth but someone who fulfills that role in another persons life. Have a great day all. Patty

Jem! Thank you. I was already thinking of sharing this before reading your post. Conversation with my 16-year old today: "How come you agreed to this?" he asks. Raised eyebrow. "I know why people celebrate Mothers' Day. Why are you agreeing to do it?" he amplifies. "Because of the size of babies' noses," I reply without thinking. He raises his eyebrows. I can tell he's already starting to regret the conversation and I have to stand by my remark now lol. "Well," I explain. "They're really very small, babies' noses; very easy to pinch and it will probably only take a few minutes. Next time your mother p*sses you off, think about that for a moment." I wish I could quote him exactly, but our minister said something along the lines this morning of recognizing the countless ways that women "mother", whether they are sisters, aunts, daughters, wives, friends, or yes, moms. As one who has no biological children, that really spoke to me and made me feel truly included. I hope each of you has felt the love of those that you "mother" today as well.

Thank you for your kind wishes! Looking good. At work, my girlfriends and I have sushi Thursday. Now, instead, we Zoom. We TOTALLY miss it. There are no establishments in my corner and I can't Uber Eats, Door Dash, etc. anything reasonable. I've tried a couple of times, but it just isn't the same. Man, I miss fried lobster sushi rolls and sparkling sake.

Happy Mother's Day to all of us, even if you have no children, we all have Moms!

Here it snowed, so no smoking anything, but Ashley called from work and I saw Amanda and the grandkids for a few minutes. Then I called my own Mother and Elery called his stepmother, so we talked to every one.
