GWlolo, did you make a choice? My Costco will have demos beginning October 7th, is there a reason to wait for that, or to go to a Whole Foods demo? I don't think I'm going to need the dry jar, I have a grain mill. I do think I want the 750, partly to look good on the counter, partly because the incremental weekly cost over the 5-7 year life is negligible. The reconditioned 750 is available for 519 on the vm website. GW gives and GW takes away. VM wasn't remotely on my purchasing radar (either was a new broom.....hey, GWlolo - wasn't that your idea too?) and now I have kale in my fridge insisting that I need one. I figure I've saved far more money on hardware, backsplash tile, and the undefinable costs of the poor choices I would have otherwise made were it not for all the "free" info/advice/support here. But dh is really hoping there isn't a GW consensus on a new vehicle for the garage, from which one enters the laundry connected to the kitchen....

It would be neat to take a cushion from your sectional into Costco just to compare. Sometimes stores are worth the additional costs for a large purchase. My most recent experience was converting my Lincoln from air ride to springs. Mind you, I turn a few wrenches but I did not want to go to the salvage yard and buy 1/2 a Thunderbird suspension so I could swap it onto my car and see if it worked with T-bird springs. SO, I bought a kit. Sure now that I know what the individual parts are I could have saved a few dollars piecing it together but boy it was easy and more than worth $50 to know I was getting the right parts the first time. How does this apply to furniture? If the furniture store you purchased from had employees to educate you on the different products and help you make the right decision they earned their money. Leather, bonded leather, microfiber, stain guard, do you have kids to make an extended warranty worth the cost? How high is the seating surface? Are you too short for that deep seated modular sectional? Did they deliver and set it up for you on time? Did they charge you a membership fee just to get in? Buying from Costco can save you money if you are expert enough to know exactly what you need and spot bad products. Hopefully the store you bought from earned their keep.

I just bought a vitamix at costco for 379.00. I love it. I have heard good things about the blendtec, also, but I'm very happy with the vitamix. I love the 7 year warranty and that it is made in the USA.

Thanks A2. She really likes her new job too. Now one off the payroll, two more to go (they will be college sophomores next year). Just finished the last of the party food. I am completely unable to cook an appropriate amount of food. We are always eating it for days! I made egg salad in the VM today. It was too smooth. I think it would have been fine with a smaller amount. Do you think I can grind coffee in the VM?
