Storing cut and peeled carrots

Posted by cookie8 (My Page) on

I bought a huge bag of carrots and would like to cut and peel some to have ready to eat. How would I store them? Just in a bag? With or without water? Thanks. I usually find these tastier than the little tumbled ones.

I also hate the tumbled ones...
I store carrots for up to 5 days in a zip-lock bag....they keep fine.

I put them in a zip-lock bag, along with a folded up damp paper towel

Thanks. I guess I will peel no more than 5 days worth.

I store mine in the frig in a bowl of water.

I do the same as ruthanna

I've found that keeping them in a ziploc bag with just a sprinkling of water keeps them really fresh. When I keep them submerged in water, I wonder if the vitamins leach out more?

I store without water in a plastic container.

Reusable, ya know!! :+)
