Kiwis & Blood Oranges Picture

I'm finally posting my kiwi & blood orange picture from my martini party a couple of weeks ago. Next to that are red & green grapes in a similar arrangement. The martini party was a huge success, there were 16 of us and we drank several different kinds of martinis. I'm sorry I don't have more pictures but as soon as the party started, I forgot all about my camera!

Thanks, Patty. It gets some afternoon shade, but it's in the late afternoon. It's against a SE wall, so it gets a smidgen of shade in the early afternoon. It isn't till the late afternoon that it gets a good amount of shade. Connie

John, I know not all mites are created equal :-) I'm a Master Gardener, and have some knowledge about pests and their beneficial predators. I'm not an expert by any stretch, either, and not an entomologist by a long, long stretch (I'm a nurse, actually). But from everything I can find, and I have looked at about 10 sites, the Montdorensis is teeny, tiny. And they don't seem to look anything at all like these large green bugs which appear to be about a 1/4" long. Montordrensis appear clearish. Not with this very distinct, green hard shell. I looked through the link you included, and the only photo I can see for this predator mite is the one I have in my post above. Where are you seeing these gigantic predator mites (relatively speaking, as mites for the most part, and very, very tiny) on the link you provided? I must be missing the photos. John It depends on the type you have, the one that everyone says has the best flavor is the Tarocco, but they are not as red as the other cultivars. Mine have a flavor that is a mix of orange and raspberry (even when they are solid orange in color).

Thank you, everyone, for the advice! I hoped to be able to say I'd gotten the iron chelate by the time I responded, but my schedule hasn't allowed a trip to the store yet.. I'll give the iron chelate a try and update! Josh, I'm watering with a capful of Foliage Pro (cap is from the 32-oz jug) diluted in my 1.6 gallon watering can. I should probably work out the tsp/gal to be more precise... And I wanted to say that there's new growth on almost all of the tips now! Apparently one of the branches was just way ahead of the others. Gardening is definitely teaching me patience. Thanks again to all!

Thank you! I took that as a compliment, for sure! But I could never live up to her beautiful arrangements! Something to aspire to, though!

I am of course greatly embarrassed by your generous compliments of my fractional attempts in exploring the other aspects of fine cooking.
And I am pleased too for you to suppose that I am a female, which I am not.
Alas, I can never be, in this life time, to have the pleasure of being the fairer of the two genders. I am destined just to be an admirer.

That's OK May. He had never revealed his gender to us, so far as I know. So you had a 50/50 chance of being right.
