First Theatre Workday Of The Year

Hi everyone,

Forgot to post this on Friday, but it ended up being better to tell you all about the workday today.

The good: They liked the cherry pie filling cake and iced tea I took along for lunch (even though mum said the piece she ate after I brought it home was undercooked). The best news was that I get to plant flowers out there this spring.

The bad: I had to leave after we had lunch because I had a terrible attack of kidney stone pain. I've been fighting these little demons for years (I say little because when I got my ultrasound done back when I was first diagnosed/examined, the doctor said that mine look like gravel). That was back in 11th grade or so. Today was some of the worst pain I've felt since I started experiencing them. I feel okay for the most part, now.

"The good" - Cherry cake and iced tea for lunch, not very balanced nutritionally, but a very interesting lunch nonetheless.

"The Bad" - Members here may advise you a good diet for your condition. Proper eating is important in your case. Hope you feel better soon.

dcarch, I forgot to mention that we also had pizza for lunch. As for my diet, that was something else my doctor told me when I got first diagnosed. I have to watch how much I eat of oxalates(chocolate, strawberries, etc.,), caffeine (luckily my favorite soda is caffeine-free), and sodium. I do take vitamin B6 and magnesium supplements to help fight them and lower the risk of getting them again and again. However, once you have them, you're always prone to getting them somewhere along the line.

I do feel somewhat better this morning, but that can always change in a heartbeat. This one wasn't as bad as a couple flare ups I've had in the past. I won't go into details, but this one is definitely milder, minus the pain I felt yesterday.

advice on equipment for dedicated home theater

We recently completed our basement and have a room which we plan to use as a dedicated home theater. It is 16'7" x 17'5". The room will be used for watching rented dvd's and weekend sports for DH, as well as all those old disney VHS tapes that the older kids have outgrown but the little one is just getting into. In the past we have been transferred every 3-4 years. This is the fifth house we have built in 15 years. So chances are that we will only be here a couple more years at most so I don't want to spend a fortune on equipment that will most likely be left behind. I found instructions online for building a 100" screen for less than $100 using stock lumber, velveteen fabric and photo paper so we are going to try that first instead of spending a fortune on a fixed screen. These are the items I am considering. Does anyone have an opinion on them individually or how they would work together as a system and which would be the better projector?.... Projectors Sony Cineza VPL HS60 - LCD InFocus Play Big IN74EX - DLP Receiver/dvd/speakers Denon DHT487DV vcr Sony SLVN900 (with built-in tuner) I created a cart at an online retailer containing all of the above mentioned items for easy access. I saved it but don't know how long it will last or if it will let someone other than me view it. Other than a ceiling mount, component and hdmi cables what else do I need? The beauty, well, one of the beauties of a cobbler is you can use different fruits or combine them too. Mix them together, or do a half and half or sort of swirl it in. I'm not a fan of peaches and I'm not sure why. But an apple filling with a spice cake topping and sprinkle it with cinnamon sugar has me interested. Or any kind of berry and maybe a banana cake mix with a vanilla sugar sprinkle. Just a couple of the myriad of possibilities. It's another comfort food. And if you happen to have access to fresh fruit, you can always adapt it to the recipe easily too. Keep on cookin' Wolfie! Your friends and family will love it. And I know you'll have a great time doing it. :)

Thank you again, everyone! Cynic, no, the legs do not fold up on this rack, and it's very sturdy, indeed. I just love looking around at the thrift stores. Brad, I'm sorry about the health issues. Elery had a kidney stone once, said it was excruciatingly painful, so I'm glad you feel better and hope it doesn't recur anytime soon. Or anytime at all, for that matter.

I've been dealing with kidney stones since 11th grade, so for a long time now. Luckily, when I first got diagnosed, and the doctor said he examined my ultrasound, he said that they were gravel sized pieces, but they are smaller when they finally pass (thank goodness). No matter the size of them, they still make you feel terrible.

I feel a whole lot better now. I don't think the stone has passed yet, but the pain has pretty much gone.
