Yes, it is Monday...you wiseacres. It's also Peppi's birthday.

What a fun day I had! Feet are done and chilling, all 4+ quarts and I have never tasted better. Pics to follow on the other thread. this was easy and well worth it. Dad surprised me with a "present". All my childhood years Mom wore a gold bracelet, then she stopped as the links were giving out. Repair cost more that the bracelet since she shipped it back to Italy for opinions. She must have had it fixed and stored in the safe. Tonight Dad gave it to me and I am stunned. I have mixed emotioned wearing it. It is Moms and not mine. Very wierd feelings. WOW!... that day went fast. What is with the days going so fast? I took the day off! Cleaned cat boxes, laundry, grocery shopping... and time as Lyra. Small towns and country living.... I asked one gal for a date tonight but no she was not interested, so I goes and asked yet another and she is not available. Then I don't really cry very hard on shoulder of a gal that passed me by some years ago. When I get to the bar tonight all three are sitting at a table waiting for me. Knock me over with a feather. So loved but just not in love. Yeah I'm posting here so that is the end of that story. My oldest sister is cooking me a dinner tomorrow (today). Both pork steaks and beef steaks in my grocery cart today so fine eats ahead. I can almost break into a sweat just thinking about the first pork steak over the charcoal for 2010. Thank-you all! Actually I think we go through this every year. It's not Peppi's birthday, just a random date she chose when she registered. Happy Fake Birthday!

Sol, thank you! And also to the rest of you.

In truth, it has been an awful day. Family forgot (what else is new) and my Dilly is at the vets coming out of a biopsy for bone cancer. We thought it might be just a bulging disk or a pinched nerve but the x-rays show significant bone eaten away in his left shoulder. The next 7 days we will wait for results. My nerves are shot, I hate to see him in so much pain.

Oh, Peppi, I sent you an email earlier, Elery had seen your post on Facebook.

I'm hoping and praying that Dilly has some problem that's quickly and easily resolved, and that he's back to his sweet and lovable furry self pronto. Give him an ear scratch from me.

Oh Peppi.....So sorry that your birthday was filled with sadness. I hope they can do something to make little Dilly-Dog comfortable. He is such a sweetie! I remember him cuddling up next to me on your couch!

Birthdays are a non-event around here and The Kid has been known to be a day or two off with her Happy Bday phone call. Do what I do...buy yourself something pretty or a new kitchen gadget :). Happy really-belated Birthday. I do hope your present is good news about Dilly.
