Finally, Scungilli --- (pics heavy)

A little while ago, I bought some fresh conch (Scungilli?, Whelk?) in-the-shell. Because I didnÂt have the time to prepare them, I just quick cooked them, took the occupants out from the shells and froze them.

Finally I made them last night. Scungilli Marinara with conchiglie pasta.

With a bottle of Sangiovese, and with Il Barbiere Di Siviglia playing in the background --------

Mama mia! Ha un sapore così fantastico!

As a collateral benefit, the leftover shells were too beautiful to be thrown out, so I bent a few forks and incorporated a few other parts, I made myself a lamp, a sauce boat, and a conch sconce using rechargeable LEDs.
