Thank you, everyone! We all had a fantastic time! Lots of good party food! Lots of people as well! I still have some cake left and very little of the tea left as well. Jane, lol no ladies rushing after me, but that's okay since I'm not looking. The Pink Lady Cake is a recipe I got out of a cookbook mom bought from the Dollar General called Quick And Easy Family Baking: Cakes, Cookies, Pies. & Breads That Anyone Can Bake. It's a fairly new cookbook (2011). I'll be happy to share the recipe again! Pink Lady Cake 1 18 oz. box strawberry cake mix (15 oz. works as well) 3 eggs 1 teaspoon lemon extract 1 20 oz. can strawberry pie filling Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat cake mix, eggs, and lemon extract in bowl. Fold in pie filling. Pour in sprayed, floured 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Cake is done when toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Serves 12-16. Add prepared vanilla frosting or frozen whipped topping, thawed (I use the frozen whipped topping). NOTE: I always sprinkle a little powdered sugar over the cake after I take it out of the oven, before I frost it. Annie, my theatre friends (which we say our theatre family lol) always praise my cooking. I recieved a lot of compliments this evening on both the cake and the tea. Makes me feel proud of myself :-).
