Need: low sodium, high protein, high-calorie

Quite unexpectedly, my husband went into heart failure, and tests showed that he needed an aortic valve replacement immediately.
He is now recovering at home, and has lost a large amount of weight, all muscle. (It's good to have some extra weight to get you through a health crisis, and he didn't.) He needs lots of protein and calories, while following a low-sodium diet at least for now. He is just now losing the last of the edema.
My way of thinking about this is that the most of the sodium has to pay its way in protein.
Ordinarily for anyone this thin you'd just say eat whatever you want, and the nutritionist in the hospital actually did say that to him, but that was when he had no appetite.
I'm looking up grams of protein and milligrams of sodium in various foods, of course, but I thought I'd come here and ask for ideas.
