French Apple Cake

Has anyone made Dorie Greenspan's French Apple Cake? We love the cake but it takes us a few days to eat all of it. It is a very moist cake and has been described as "a cross between an apple cake and an apple pie with the texture of bread pudding." It's recommended to store it under a cake dome or overturned bowl, or not covered at all. But either way the top gets soggy as does the rest of the cake probably from all the apples.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to store this cake for a few days?
