Cakes and Jam...

I made some strawberry jam recently, and although I have a jam cake recipe, I'm not fond of it. (The jam is added to the batter.) Does anyone have some really great recipes for using it on desserts, cakes, etc.? I'm sure it can be used to fill between the layers, not hard to figure out, but if there is an exceptional recipe out there I'd love to have it.
