My cute niece!

I NEVER do this! But these pix're too darn cute not to share. Dear niece is a 3-yr old Korean-German-Swedish-French-Algerian princess. Here she is at the ice skating rink:

and her mom captioned this one - "A true French knows her Nutella!!!" So you see, there is a food tie-in!

Congrats to your niece! I read a bit from her stitchtunes blog. She's a good writer. I wish her good luck with future endeavors. Also, my best to her DH. My DH has also always wanted to write & now that he's retired has taken several fiction writing classes over the past 18 months, or so. DH just recently completed his third short story but hasn't yet considered trying to get published. I've marked this thread for him to take a look at since your neice also writes short stories. Sorry, yes, LeAudra is my niece, my brother's child. I've never had children; she was the first of all the nieces and nephews and has always been "my special baby." Of course, now that's there's 12 of them, all the neieces and nephews are "my special babies," but she's my special first-born girl, just as Christopher is my special first-born boy. I'm very fortunate that her mother, my SIL, has always "shared" and let her visit whenever I wanted. She spent most of every summer, from age one until she was 16, with me.

I like the picture frame idea! You can also try something like a large cork board - I used to love those when I was growing up, pin up pictures and things from different events etc. Is the window used alot? You can also try something out of the box by doing a curtain rod across the entire back of that wall, sheer if you want natural light in or a thicker fabric to keep light out

Stacy, I'm with you, I just love her eyes. That first picture in the denim is adorable, I like the "Nutella Expert" picture but that first one is just exceptional.

she's better than me, I can't ice skate worth a darn! What an adorable little princess she is.

Too bad the little cherub lives in a different state. But I'm planning a trip soon. My family always had a thing about ice skating. We all learned - and the smaller you are, the softer you fall! But living in California, it's been over 20 years since I put on a pair of skates.
