OK, here's a picture, finally. So you can all stop complaining. ; )

Looks like I need to visit the gallery more often, there's so much on here to see!

Will post more someday...hopefully before she starts driving. :P

I should be sleeping...but instead I'm putzing around on here! I haven't done that in quite a while! :D Linda...I want to take pictures of her feet but can't figure out the darned close up feature on my digital. It's supposed to do macro but hell if I can get it to work! Barnmom, I don't think anyone has ever called my son "mellow." LOL(Just ask Chase and Stacy when we met them this summer!) He had his moments as a newborn, but I"m sure I've sufficiently blocked them out by now. Actually, he was usually all business at night time - would nurse 10 minutes per side, diaper change and back to bed. Sarah is a "one boob" girl and if she doesn't burp well enough, she promptly vomits it all back up on me. Niiice... Looking for the camera manual...

I always wondered about Pal's screen name, too. Finally had to look it up when it appeared as the answer in a crossword puzzle. It's a cryptic puzzle (I love wordplay), so here is the clue: "Most ghastly, claiming brats reused parchment" Now, our Pal is certainly neither ghastly nor a brat, so here is how the puzzle works: - A synonym for "most ghastly" might be "palest" - A synonym for "brats" might be "imps" - "claiming" implies taking possession of something, so "palest" takes "imps" into itself, between the l and the e. "pal imps est" - And you end up with a word meaning "reused parchment" Now, WHY our "Palimpsest"? Inquiring minds want to know!

Now I am very hungry! Think I'll have to have some tommies for breakfast, LOL. Principe Borghese are now starting to ripen and since it's so hot, I don't want to roast them. Oh dear, will have to eat them raw! Tried this the other day and it was superb! First macerate halved cherries (I used BRYC) by sprinkling with salt and olive oil, for at least 30 mins at room temperature (not the fridge!) 1. Grab some frozen puff pastry sheets, cut squares in half to make rectangular strips and blind bake until pale golden (not fully cooked) 2. Take it out the oven and cool for a little bit 3. Spread cooled puff pastry with your favourite pesto (I tried both basil & Capsicum/Chilli), then Ricotta cheese 4. Finally, top with drained, macerated cherry toms (save the juice for salad dressing etc) 5. Pop these back into very hot oven (I did 240 deg with fan) until cherries are caremlised at the edges (10-15 mins or so) 6. Sprinkle with fresh ground pepper and allow to cool enough to handle with your hands These are also nice at room temperature. I'm going to try something similar with focaccia dough, just poking halved BRYC into the dough, maybe alternating with halved olives.

So sorry to hear this. Hoping you both get home together soon. One suggestion. When my daughter and her baby boy were in separate hospitals, I took the pillowcase she slept on to her baby so he could smell her. I did that daily as long as they were separated. May sound corny but we felt it helped and the nurses had no problems with it.

Ohh - there's something about slumbering babies that just makes me want to nuzzle-- & she sure is a nuzzlable looking bundle . The best of everything in life to you Sarah -- you & hubby did well Phyllis . Give big brother a hug for me too .

Ok, I am going to complain!...What is she 11 days old? Been home for more than a week? And are we good friends, or what? And all we see is ONE picture?? O*N*E!! And taken in the hospital!
Now admittedly the picture is precious but all you mommies know how much MORE beautiful a baby is after a week or so, when the smooshed face goes away from the birth.
I want to see her with her eyes open! and momma holding her....and David looking at her...
She's perfectly beautiful....even as a 24 hour babe....lets see more!!!
I mean.....afterall, you have nothing to do but take pictures and up load them do you????

She's just beautiful.

And pay no mind to Linda, that's just the Grandma coming out in her ;^) She's forgotten what it's like to be the Mom of the 11 day old and getting no sleep all night and up all day taking care of the wide awake sibling. Grandma's do all of that sweet cuddling and picture taking, then go home at night and get that good night's sleep so they feel good enough to post and send those adorable pictures to everyone they know. I'm sure you'll share pictures eventually when you get all caught up on your rest (like high school graduation -- LOL!!).

Aren't baby girls special??? I was just soooo delighted when i delivered my last baby - whom the docs had told me before her birth- was a boy!! Enjoy that precious daughter....mine has brought me so much joy. Daughters are God's gift to motherhood.
