Annual naming of the beef

Oh darn, do I love spring in Michigan, for several reasons. One reason is that the cherry trees are just beginning to bloom:

I just love to see a man on a tractor. Yes, that's a manure spreader Elery is pulling with the John Deere:

Hey, I let him run the backhoe, to fill up the manure spreader!

The "boss cow", Suzy, is kind of wondering what the heck that guy is doing:

Copenhagen doesn't think he understands either, why the heck is some guy up there instead of me, LOL:

Ah, spring. We'll pass over the smell of the "fertilizer" that was going onto the garden and get to my favorite sign of spring, the first calves.

Here's mine, the first calf of the season. Red Cow did a good job, although I interrupted lunchtime.

Here are the first two calves of the season, neither have names yet. Aren't they just cute as heck? It's hard to believe that they'll grow up to be 1,000 pounds of Porterhouse on the hoof!

Last year's Hamilton Berger has grown up and has become just Ham Berger. Right now I just can't think of anything except #2, I've got that Austin Powers thing on the brain now, with Robert Wagner, LOL.

So, let the naming begin!
