Beverly, you can't make them bigger. I "reduced" them on photobucket so they wouldn't take so long to load for those who have slow dial up connections, just like Jessica taught me.

I can send you the bigger ones, if you'd like them. I sent one of Makayla to San and she said it was 700kb, it was HUGE. LOL Of course, I don't know how to make those any smaller. (sigh)

How was the prom? Ashley is so beautiful and has such a warm smile. I really like her 'Hollywood hair' and her dress is lovely. She and her date make a nice couple (is that ok to say?-lol) I'm where you're at, my baby is graduating HS, too (Nicole's prom is May 30th - a Tuesday night, yuck! Her date is a real pisser, too - I can feel my blood pressure going up thinking about him). Big sigh.....

What's Ashley's plans for next year?

Oh how soon they're grown & gone ! Bittersweet time Annie -- makes you long for the days they were crawling around on all fours ( almost ). Hope her future is as bright as her smile .

paulines, they had a lot of fun at the Prom, then they went bowling. I wish I had pictures of that, a dozen girls in formal dresses and bowling shoes. LOL

Ashley's date is all right, a nice enough young man whose family owns a local business. He's 18 though, and doesn't have a job, still has a year of high school left and doesn't plan to go to college. Sigh.

Ashley has been accepted into our local University in the dental program, and has won a couple of scholarships to help with tuition. She wants to be a dentist and fortunately the University is close enough that she can commute so she can live at home and doesn't need to pay for a dormitory or an apartment.

She's an honor student, in the National Honor Society and several service organizations, so she could have gone to any of several larger colleges. Finances dictate that she stay here, though, and she's not opposed to having Mom available to cook and do her laundry anyway.

I love her dress and hair - my hair for my senior prom (in 1966!) was actually quite similar, except I had bangs straight across - it was the 60's after all. I loved my hair and my dress and I hope Ashley felt the same way!

The dress is almost ethereal...love it. Wow, Annie, graduation! When is your other daughter getting married? Isn't it this summer too?

Sherry, I don't know when she's getting married. David's sister "surprised" the family with the announcement that she was getting married this summer. That wedding is May 20. David's mother says she can't handle two weddings in one year, it's too "stressful".

Since Amanda doesn't really care whether they get married or not, she just said they'd wait until next year. It's fine with me, I have Ashley's graduation, then her open house, her trip to Costa Rica, and college preparations to make for fall, I have plenty to occupy me this summer (and to spend my money on!)

I wore a dress with a "handkerchief" hem I believe when I was a junior. Ashley's is much prettier. Don't guys wear tuxes anymore? not being critical, I just wondered. Heck, I don't want to send Will off to his prom in a tux and have him be the only one - lol.

Stacy, here the guys wear tuxes only if they are on the Prom Court or are extremely into clothes, as some guys are now. I don't know when that happened, they wore tuxes when Amanda was in high school.

Of course, our high school had the first "casual" Homecoming Dance in the history of the school too, so maybe it's just here?
