Because I'm nearly impossible with pictures, they just do what they do, some people wanted bigger pictures of Ashley, ones that they could actually SEE. Imagine that. (grin)

So, be warned, these are full sized, I don't know how to make them any different:

Here is a closer look at "the dress". I really liked that dress:

I tried to do a bigger full length one, but Photobucket wouldn't let me load it again, since I had already loaded one and "shrunk" it.

I hope these are better.

Hi Raybo: I've been following your incredible work for months on two different websites and am fascinated and am IN AWE by your methodical attn. to detail and clean, neat construction! But, as a sr. citizen, may I say something (somehow that must make me entitled, right??!!). Is it possible that bec. of your extensive engineering background that the boxes are, perhaps, unnecessarily over-designed a wee bit? I only mention this for two reasons: For many beginners, such as myself, your instructions, though certainly explicitly and xln'tly well-documented, are quite involving with all the metal hardware, drilling and reinforcement, etc. One and a half years ago my DH (not too hands-on) and myself made 4 of these boxes with info compiled from two other web sources - Josho's was one; can't remember the other. They are/were basic and easy to construct. But, no reinforcements, metal hardware, screws, washers, etc. involved. 30 minutes at most and each was done. They are STILL like new and show no signs of deteriation, weaknesses, etc. This is now our third season with them. Your design, as incredible as they are, seems more than necessary as far as all the metal and drilling, etc. They remind me of our two late- twenty-something sons. If they're at home and need to look up a date, phone number or see what their future plans are, they'll spend 10 min. going into their computer or Blackberry, paging through, etc., until they've gotten the info they need. Me? I need 10 seconds or less to pick up my personal calendar/address book and have the info immediately at hand! PLEASE don't misunderstand. I can't praise your work and efforts highly enough; it just seems that sometimes designs can me more complicated than necessary. I would assume that the plastic containers only have a certain shelf-life before they have to be replaced no matter HOW they've been built. But as long as they work in a real simple manner, isn't that somehow better for the majority of us less-capable & busy people? Being an Air Force brat, I always subscribed to the military mantra: using the KISS princple ... keep it simple. Just a thought, but really for the benefit of the lesser-inclined people who might give up when seeing such an involved process to achieve the essentially same outcome as we "plain folks" have achieved. I DO hope you do not misunderstand my point here. And I LOVE how you modified the AWS, too. Hope to try that soon. Arline, a faithful follower of your endeavors

I'm not KatieC, but here's her recipe!! Delicious! I love to can in pints and just grab one to take to work. I can microwave it right in the jar and drink it! Roasted Tomato Garlic Soup Recipe By :Katie C 12 tomatoes -- *see Note 2 carrots -- cut in 1" pieces 1 large onion -- quartered 2 whole heads garlic -- peeled (or more, to taste) olive oil 2 cups chicken broth -- (or 3) 1/2 cup chopped fresh basil -- (or 1 Tbsp. dried) cream -- to taste DO NOT CAN WITH CREAM. Core tomatoes and cut in half. Place, cut side up, on foil covered cookie sheet with carrots, onion and garlic. Brush with olive oil. Bake at 400F for about an hour, or until vegies are roasted and a little blackened. Place in a large saucepan with the chicken broth and basil and simmer for about 10 minutes. Blend with a stick blender (or in small batches in a blender) until almost smooth. Add cream to taste. To can: Process in a pressure canner, pints for 60 min. and quarts for 70 min.For dial gauge canners use 11 pounds pressure at 0-2000 ft., 12 lbs. at 2001-4000 ft., 13 lbs. at 4001-6000 ft. and 14 lbs. above 6000 ft. For weighted gauge canners use 10 lbs. pressure at 0-1000 ft., and 15 lbs. over 1000 ft. *Note: These measurements are approximate...I use whatever it takes to cover the cookie sheet. This makes 1 1/2 to 2 quarts of soup. That said, I do keep a couple of Cream of Mushroom and Chicken on hand for recipes that I make infrequently for when "I don't want to cook". Yes, I've opened a can of tuna, can of soup and boiled noodles. Of course I always have to toss in some frozen peas, chopped celery, maybe olives or roasted red pepper. My White Chicken Enchiladas use a Cream of soup and they just aren't "THE RECIPE" without it. I probably use a total of 4-5 cans a year. Whatever. It's not any worse the hitting the drive through at a burger joint! I probably do that once a year! I say "to each his own". The only thing I don't like about prepared/packaged stuff in general is that the supply of basic ingredient selections at the grocery seem to be dwindling (pure space issue, I'm sure). Produce areas are smaller, meat counters, fresh seafoods and basic dairy products have fewer feet of space. :-( Just one more reason I'm always looking for a more direct source! Deanna

Update: For the past 2 weeks I have been preparing yard and house for Son's Grad Party which took place this past weekend. It was well attended and overall went fairly smooth. My husband decided he couldn't wait anymore and talked to my son about things (without me being present). I was able to talk with son later, he says he "understands" and just wishes I didn't have to go. Have tried to give him opportunity to speak about his feelings My husband has laid on lots of guilt. Underneath it all have been the ugly conversations with my husband. Husband has now informed me that I can't take any of my furniture with me when I leave. "How would our son feel if he came home and (some of) the furniture is gone?" He tells me I can't take a large family painting (that my uncle painted) with me because he would have to paint the wall underneath and that wouldn't be fair. (I'm not joking) The lastest is the surprise vacation that husband reserved back in Feb. I told him all along not to include me in those plans. Now since my son doesn't know that I don't want to go, husband says and I quote "bite the bullet and go." My daughter is also going, so husband says it "still could be fun". However, I know that son and gf will have their own room- I just don't want to be part of that anymore. I feel sick. I confronted husband about the (nude)pictures of gf on the computer. He tells me that he would NEVER do such a thing. He was offended that I would think such horrible things about him. I have proof that he hacked the gf's Facebook account. He went so far as to change the email contact information on her profile, so that everytime she changed her password he was being informed by email. And I am the one who has not been loyal to him, and believes only the worst. Tells me that he has covered my donkey with our son(because I don't come home til 8pm most evenings)and defended me.

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea. The principal (or the head of the guidance department) will know who is trustworthy, and they can tell you what is a fair wage too. They can even email you photos of bunting decorations for their proms, etc decor and tell you who the students were who were on those decoration committees that might be interested in looking for work. This would not be the right time for you to fall off a ladder, or strain your back from overwork. This would also be helpful for you for later on too, as you might find the strong young man with his friends to rearrange your furniture (for a higher wage) as you change your mind a few times, to mow your lawn, to shovel your snow, and maybe even do some of the gardening. (Just be sure to check the location of the in ground irrigation, the water lines and all other utilities and clearly mark them before you give anyone a shovel.) The energy of older teens is awesome, and their work ethic and ambition should be encouraged, too.

Oh Annie, Ashley really is a beauty. I love the dress and the colour is perfect on her.

Thanks Annie! She is so pretty and her hair looks so soft and shiny. I like the dress too and I've seen a lot of recent prom dresses that I didn't like.

Beverly, I've seen lots I didn't like either, they were either too short, or had plunging necklines about to the naval, so low in back that you could see their butt crack (well, nearly), or slit up the side to their armpits. And those were the ones that weren't so tight they looked as though they'd been applied with a paint gun. Sheesh. I was always told there was a fine line between slinky and sleezy, and a lot of dresses this year crossed that line by about a mile.

Nope, I liked that little mint green fairy dress with the floaty skirt.....

What a beauty......and I would love to see a full length picture of the dress......
You can delete a picture if you have made it too small and re load it....or create a new album and put the the larger version in another album.

Linda, I haven't figured out how to make an album yet, and with my old computer and dial-up, everything takes forever, I get impatient and give up trying to deal with it at all.

I'll delete one, though, and reload a full length one tonight.

That looks so much like a bridesmaid dress that I made. I actually made six, and each one was a different pastel color of chiffon with a handkerchief skirt. I think the ones I made had spaghetti straps - either that or they had short butterfly sleeves. That was back in 1988, so it was almost 20 years ago. I should have gotten pictures, and I have not kept in contact with the bride, and the dress design was the bride's idea.

How does she walk across the yard in spike heels? Wouldn't they get caught in the dirt? The pictures are beautiful!

Lars, I'll bet they were beautiful, this one was so nice and light and pretty.

As for walking in the yard, well, she kind of has to walk on her toes, so the heels don't sink in. It's something we all get the hang of here, there's a lot of places with no cement, even parking lots and roads!
