Easter Rabbits and other great buys

I was off to TJ Max stores in MD and VA last week looking for another LC pot, and I wanted to be sure to see it before buying. No luck on the pot from but I got these rabbits for my grandaughters for NEXT year....

this cakestand for my friend in Maine who loves glasswork and is a caterer.

The mango is one of many scenting my kitchen... delicouus.

I also bought this leaf cakestand and have been debating about keeping it tho of course the yellow glass one is going to Maine so...

Wow! You did good, girl. I have never bought anything at TJ Maxx. Everytime I go in, it is such a dissaray, that it turns me off. I hate rummaging to find things. If it aint out in the open, I don't buy it. I am not especially a bargain hunter cause I don't have the time for it.

Very sweet, MsAzadi. Sheshebop, too bad you can't come to my TJM and Marshall's. Both are usually in pretty good order with many goodies nicely displayed. I have been in another where its pretty carpy, so I guess they're not all the same.

wow these all sound like awesome baskets! i got my basket from Vina and wow! i am floored and don't quite know where to start. there were ladyfinger cookies, chocolate marshmallow eggs, chocolate truffles, and adorable chicken statue for the garden wearing red galoshes lol, a really cute test tube vase for the window, a chili pepper (which i am going to convert to a christmas ornament for the veggie patch section of the tree ), soap shape dlike a garden fairy that is too cute to use, a picture book of here comes peter cottontail, eggs filled with candy, all nestled in gold ribbon and wrapped in pictures her kids colored!!!! so cute and what a great idea. there were also bleeding heart plats, an adorable bunny shaped tin filled with seeds and a cool blue and green shell bracelet (and i have the perfect hippie skirt to go with it), and a red peony!!! i think the easter bunny probably got a hernia carrying this to my house LOL. ooo and a flower notebook and a cute card signed by all. thank you so much and tell billy and taylor i loved their coloring. i am smoothing one of them out and hanging it on my office door :) little dog came home safe and sound-- exhausted and extra dirty, but better than she usually is after one of these excursions. thank you all for your support! and now, for bingo! bonnet lamb quack tulip Bonus word 'cause it's friday: columbine* Bonus word becasue little dog came home :): polliwog for those of you who missed it, the person who gets the most bonus words gets a prize too :) how are the bingo boards? anyone close? i need to go through and mark all the lists i have. hope everyone has a great weekend :)

Luvs...lol... I'll share my - Tarpin Springs - memory.. I was there with DH and my two BILs and SILs.. We were looking around one of the shops, when all of a sudden I had the 'urge' to go to the BR..and knowing my history..they all started to taunt me..rather than help me find a BR. I stopped to ask this little old lady, who looked like she worked in the store. I didn't realize she was a little senile. She gave me this big smile and hug, and started talking to me, like she knew me. I didn't want to be rude and brush her off, so I smiled politely and listened. Then I started doing a my 'wiggle' dance. As she rambled on, I noticed in the background, my BILs..making faces and mimicking my 'wiggle dance'. Of course, this made me start to laugh uncontrolably..which, of course led me to ...You guessed it. So there went my SILs, running around finding clothes to buy for me to change into!! (by the way the little old lady was the owner's mother)... Funny, how I 'connect' my trips to these 'Special Events'.. I don't do well on trips!! ... lol jane

@texanjana -- I don't have a pic, handy, but I'll tell you this, it took two batches of frosting to get the technique and to find the right consistency of frosting. I'll be honest, one early attempt using pink frosting lining the inside of the bag, stripes of red color gel, and a white interior (like the videos instruct) just ended up looking like a sea anemone, rather than flower! Great for a monster from the deep theme, not so much for spring flowers. Playing with the various tips was fun.

Wow, what a beauty you have near your house, and it's all for Easter. The Lord wanted to please you with beautiful flowers for this wonderful holiday. I usually go to church with my friends in the morning to pray first and then start celebrating this magnificent holiday. And while I'm going to church, I feel this festive atmosphere all over the city, and it inspires me a lot and also lifts my spirits. For some reason, even nature looks different on this day. After all, this world has a great connection between the Lord God and nature. Thank you for the photos. They are beautiful!

The VA store is much larger than our local one but both seem pretty orderly tho I swear people hide things ...esp the pot or pan I am looking for!

What did happen recently is that I lost my cart... and apparently they keep an good eye out for abandoned carts and snatched mine. aaaaqrgh I ended up going back later in the week for my easter deviled egg dish - which I found restocked!! Determination! Maureen

Yes, you have to be determined! I went back for more than 6 months and finally found the 4th to a sweet little set of appetizer plates!

Maureen, very funny bunnies! I really like the leaf cakestand!

I must be determined! I return week after week to our crummy Marshell's for pieces to my everyday dishes. Every now and again I'll find a piece for a great price and I'm exstatic! It keeps me motivated to keep going back, good thing, because it is not that great of a store.

All of the TJ Maxes I've been to have been great, I wish we had one in my city.

River, if you post a picture, maybe I or someone else can shop for you! I have a very large Marshall/Homegoods and always love an excuse to drive over there. Cindy5NY beefed up her dish collection on this forum, remember!

I like the glass cake stand......
Of course nothing in my house is yellow....but I can always start with a cake stand....
