Well, Ann, the prior Queen is in COLLEGE now, and even more important than she was in high school. Why, she only came to crown this year's Queen because her mother is a teacher at the school and MADE HER. Otherwise she would NEVER hang around with high school children. It just wasn't important enough to dress up for. (grin)

The big dance is tomorrow night, so she gets to strut her stuff for another night, then it's back to being a peasant.

That looks like too much fun. The Snow Queen was one of my favorite fairy tales as a child, and I used to fantasize what it would be like to see snow and ice (I was 11 when I first saw snow). To me, it was like another planet.

Those jeans are not at all flattering to the old queen. She should be very embarassed.

How do you like the new, shorter and curly hair? One of the local hair stylists has a photo op set for February 20 and wants to submit photos of Ashley and her hair to Redken for advertisement purposes. We'll see how that goes, at the very least she gets a free style and color.

Annie, Ashley looks gorgeous and gracious, as a Queen should. Last year's Queen obviously didn't learn the meaning of "noblesse oblige" during her reign. From the photos I think they should have picked the princess instead- she certainly looks a lot nicer and friendlier!
Long live the Queen! and long live the Queen Mother (does this mean you have to start going to horse races and drinking G and Ts? :-D)!

How did the Redkin thing go?

Deb, I haven't heard a darned thing yet, the entire "shoot" has been submitted but nothing has been heard. The "stylist" has offered Ashley a summer job, though, so it wasn't a complete wash, and maybe it isn't yet.

She did get her make over, her free hair cut and her "color and high lights" so she's happy.....

Thanks for asking, she's impatiently waiting for any word. (grin)
