And it's warmed up about 35 degrees from early in the week.

Linda, if it didn't send shivers through out my body I'd say that's almost pretty... What caused it, is there something above it, like a gutter, that's leaking or an ice dam?

It's caused by a snow "cornice" that curls over the edge of the roof. Wind does some of it and then this time of the year, when the sun begins to head north, it hits that corner of the roof, melts the show....then the sun sinks and the drip continues...and by 9 PM it's frozen...until the sun hits it again the next afternoon.
about time for this winter to be over....what'd you think???

I was ready for winter to be over on December 26th...

Seems like we got a lot more snow this year than ever before and theses old bones have been shivering a lot more too... Thank God for kind neighbors, one put a plow on his riding mower ( twice he did the sidewalk for the whole block ) and the other loves playing with his snow blower ( he does mine and the lady next door )... There's no way I could do ours, you can fit 6 full sized cars in the driveway... Lately I get pooped just sweeping off my tiny front porch and two steps... lol

I can't wait until it's warm enough to sit outside with a tall glass of lemonade and let the sun warm my toes...

It's cold here too, Rita, still below zero with windchills about 25 below. We've gotten a LOT of snow this winter, more than I can remember getting in years.

We even made Associated Press here in Michigan, where church services were called off and the Mackinac Bridge was closed because of visibilities issues. Right now the local Sheriff's Departments in several counties are asking that people travel for emergency purposes only, the cold and blowing snow combination is just too dangerous.

Snow and cold in Michigan seldom makes headlines, though, even with those 50 MPH winds.

Very cold here today also - high of 60°. I've been wearing my wool gloves in the morning when the temps can be in the upper 40s. I'm grateful for the cold weather, however, because it means we have fewer tourists and therefore less traffic - except for last week-end when it got up to 80° and the beach was packed.
