Wait till you see my swap box items from Nancy!

The timing on this box was perfect. I've had a rotten two days and this box has lifted my spirits on high!

I saw the UPS man pull into the driveway...I ran to the back door only to see a huge gash in the side of the box and peanuts flying EVERYWHERE. I made him wait till I opened the box to make sure things where OK in the box. LOL!

This is what I found.

First I'd like to say that everything was wrapped so nicely in a beautiful heavy made foil paper. Very nice! I opened Nancy's choice first. Can you believe it? I love cherry anything and I certainly have enough to make it through winter this year...and the Maple Cream is to die for! I like every single one of the yummy jars! I do have toast almost every morning so I'm looking forward to the tasting test! The last time I had American Spoon Maple Cream was when we were all at Canny Camp.

Paper/Textiles was next to be opened. Flo Braker's book on "Baking for all Occasions". A beautiful book with some wonderful recipes. I forgot to take pictures of some of the beautiful pictures on the inside. Such a pretty book. I'll enjoy reading this one like a novel.

Next came Pottery/stainless...and lookie what I got! I'm just knowing that you are all jealous. Isn't this a beautiful piece of pottery. I don't have anything like this with a lip on it. The size is perfect! This is a piece of Otis Pottery. The kiln is a down draft kiln so the deposit of ashes show along the edges of their work.

Nancy,Thank you so very much for taking the time to choose the items that you did. They are all exactly perfect! You have lifted my spirits and I will think of you everytime I use the cookbook and pottery.

This is everything together. I might add that Nancy sent a sweet note along with this package for me! Oh, I almost forgot. No Nancy, you can not have it back! LOL!

Karen, That pottery is so cool! Is it my PC or does that bowl go with your kitchen color? And the American Spoon box of goodies is so special since we all went to the store together. I'm sure you will share some good findings from the cookbook.

Way to go Nancy!

Oh man, another unique and beautiful piece of pottery! Interesting about the downdraft kiln....the ash tones on the edges is very cool for sure. Another fan of the maple cream but I have my eye on that grilling sauce mmmmmmm YUM! I see some babybacks in your future Karen. Being a fan of baking here that cookbook is calling out to me.

Great package Nancy! I know Karen and her family will enjoy all of it!

Great swap package! The pottery bowl is beautiful! Looks like a batter bowl. The cherry sampler is very cool. The cookbook is on my wishlist, you'll have to let me know what you think of it. You did an awesome job Nancy!

Karen, I'm glad you finally received your package and with nothing broken....and added plus! I took it in for shipping just before going out of town. When I got home there were a couple of calls from the shipper saying they needed a complete address. Then with Thanksgiving in the equation, it didn't actually leave here until after the weekend. But now it's there and all is well.

The pottery shop is only a couple of miles from my home. I pass it all the time. They've been in business for years and are well known around here. The hardest part for me is to resist buying stuff for me all the time. Pottery is a real weakness of mine. Remember all the pottery I looked at in Gatlinburg?
I had already decided on the cookbook so the batter bowl fit my theme..... and I had fun trying to figure out what items from American Spoon you might like. Enjoy!

Love, love, love the bowl! I also love the snow scene on the package - it looks like it should be framed. I trust that you saved it. And you didn't end up last!!!

Wonderful package. Nice selection of American Spoon products and the cookbook looks like a very good read. Lots of pictures I hope. And that bowl. Love the bowl.

Well done Nancy. Can't wait to see what you bake first Karen.

Stunning bowl, and Nancy always picks great books (I see the one she gave Oly in her car quite a bit). Gee American Spoon, LOL!

The first of the taste test...Cherry Preserves...to die for. I see why they call it American Spoon. Because the jar of goodies makes you want to dig a spoon into it and sit in front of the TV. Ask me how I know!

I love the bowl too! And Ah! American Spoon... YUM!!

Great package NM... I love the subtitle in the cookbook... I believe in those "Everyday celebrations." Karen, hope these next few days can be more celebratory than the last few!!

I am not at all surprised that Nancy packed such a perfect gift box, she has a knack of know what people would like.

I love that batter bowl, I know that Nancy has access to local craftsmen and artists, so I'm not surprised she found such a beautiful gift.

No one can have too many cookbooks, of course, and I've never had a bad product from American Spoon Food. I've got to admit, though, the maple cream is my absolute favorite on a warm scone for breakfast.

Karen, I just know that you are enjoying every bit of that package. Nancy, you did a great job.

Wow, Karen you really cleaned up. Nancy, you are so generous.

That pottery piece is gorgeous. It looks like it is for pouring. Maybe gravy? It's just perfect.

I have to order some of the American Spoon Food items. They always look extra-special. What a nice assortment!
