Ann, I want to thank you for being a constant on this forum and for your dedication to organizing the swaps. I certainly acknowledge how time consuming this is and you seem to always be "on duty" when an address is needed, information needs to be forwarded, or ideas are requested.

Thanks for all you do for our virtual community!

This turned out to be a very rainy day and a small Swap - altho I know my hastily-dug stuff went to at least 6 households. Pistils Announcement Board says the next one is May 1 - please plan to come - rain OR shine! For the person who asked about Daphne Odorata - they have rooted plants - at $12 And I plan to take to them a big bag of cuttings - as I think they'll have better success at rooting that many of us...and prices are more than reasonable for the space, labor & trouble. I bought a neat Sambucus Nigra -also just $12. The Purple Black-leaves will look great in any part of a garden. Can't wait for it to grow! Here is a link that might be useful: Sambucus Nigra

I'm glad to hear everyone had a good time,the weather was perfect,thank you all for coming it was a pleasure (as always) to host the swap again. I agree with the above mentioned suggestions of trying to get more new gardeners to our swaps,we just had way to many plants and to much food (like these are bad bad problems :-),and simply not enough people to stuff thier cars full of goodies! Hey I need some help! I need to figure out who Julia P. is becuase she won the raffle for the $50.00 gift cert. but she wasn't there when Brodie pulled the name out of the pot. she left a phone # but when I tried calling it (twice) I was told I had a wrong number. Could this possibly be Sarah's little Julia? if anyone has any insight I would appreciate it so I can get her the cert. Thanks,and happy gardening, ron
