Golden warmth for sure, that afghan is beautiful. My Mom used to crochet and I have a couple of her afghan's. I know that crocheting takes some time!

What a treasure you got, Diane. The afghan is beautiful Lori. It'd be hard to eat that pretty chocolate...for a day or so. And healthy recipes to offset when you binge on that chocolate box...perfect, hehe.

Lori...that is a beautiful afgahn and I can just picture Diane sitting, the afgahn spread around her, reading her new cookbook and casually breaking off bits of the chocolate box and munching away. The wind might be blowing and the snow can be heard against the windows....but our Diane is as snug as a bug!

Okay, where's that chocolatier, where is it? I've never heard of it and I live in/near Dallas. Maybe that's a good thing, though. The chocolates and the box sound devine. The afgan, well, it's just amazing, and the cookbook will help counteract all those chocolates! Way to go, Lori!

OMG, what an exquisite package! When I first saw the closeup picture of the afghan, before I read what it was, it looked a little like a blurry picture of closeup oatmeal cookies, LOL.I thought she sent you cookies! Duh me! The afghan is absolutely gorgeous...and a chocolate box to boot! Darn nice package!

Diane, you are so very welcome! I can't remember what kind of yarn that is. I'll check tonight and let you know. I usually use something that can be machine-washed in cold water/delicate cycle, and tumble-dried on low.

Sally2, Morgen's used to be located on McKinney Ave. off of Knox St. (across from the Viking Store). They moved earlier this year and have a bigger place at 1804 Market Center Blvd. in Dallas in the Design District. You can also see them making the chocolates through a big window there.

Diane, I wondered if that chocolate basket would break on its way to you...so glad to know it made it in tact!! :)

Lori, what a beautiful afghan you made for Diane! My daugher covets the one her grandma made for her, and I'm sure Diane will as well. I do love the chocolate basket containing all the chocolate goodies. I'm impressed too that it made it to its destination intact. Those chocolates would quickly disappear in my house! Very nice job!
