Her favorites are my favorites. Bizzo, I love everything you sent me. I do enjoy a glass of wine or a good martini every now and again and now I have new glass wear to enjoy my drinks. Just look how beautiful! Nothing like a dirty martini to help ease the transition home from PFPP. ThatÂs the reason IÂm late in posting about my swap box. Those dang pigeon people keeping me from my awesome swap boxÂhee hee.

Bizzo tells me that she has read that if you take vermouth and spray it over the glass that you can get just the right amount of vermouth in the glass for the perfect martini. Sounds good to me! Misto should do the trick for the perfect spray. A looooong time ago I wanted to make MartiniÂs for a group of friends but I didnÂt have a shaker so I used a washed out glass pickle jar. I still have never owned one until now! I usually just use a jar and shake things up a bitÂ.Now IÂm the cool mac daddy of martini making thanks to the new shaker.

Bizzo kept with the theme and included a can of Polar Day Orange Soda for me to try a "JasonÂs Antifreeze" drink. I can not wait to try it. Watch, IÂll probably "need" to order a case of this canned sodaÂI know I wonÂt be able to find it here ;-)

Oh Wow. Bizzo you sent a wonderful swap box. I love that pitcher and glasses. How neat to send three different style of glasses. One just right for your drink of choice. And I like the idea of spraying a small amount of vermouth over the gin or into the glass.

Kathy, I tried looking up your name and didn't come back with anything. Is Deckie your shop name? I'll be fixing mine so that my signin screen name is my shop name and just not part of it. What do you sell on there? Jeanne! Oh yeah! I may have to delve into the photography as well. I see a lot of people who have photography. My cousin Amy is painting and has hers listed in her shop there. Hummmm, now where can I find MORE time for the photography?? Tasymo (another Kathy!), Well, I'm not sure. I guess it depends. Alicia - yes the flower is phlox - before we redid the stream it was along the entire length - I want to do more of a variety of plants along the rocks - so that something is always in bloom I forgot about the flat rocks around the pond - ordered them back when the pond was first put in in 1999 - they were along the stream bed too and I just didn't like the look and when these other rocks were found back in the woods - I changed them out for a more natural, native look Thank you everyone - we are having a ball working/playing out there....... Good to hear from you Maryliz....wow you have been busy...I took a fabric dying class and it was a lot of fun...not something I want to do much of in my house. I am going to visit a lady for a class on painting on fabric and then you put it in the sun to set the colors...maybe then I can decide what I want to invest my money in, paint or dyes. Wonderful you are moving your sewing out of the basement to your very own space....you will love it...don't forget to include good lighting in your new room...aren't hubbys wonderful when it comes to our hobby. This summer is pretty quiet for us...last year we painted the house, garage, fences...15 gal. of paint and my shoulder still complains. We also had quite a bit of company and I did get to the Moose Jaw Quilt Show in April...so I guess I will enjoy seeing pictures and writeups on trips others take this year. I have dragged out a quilt that I started quilting in 2003 by machine....gave up because it was too heavy....couldn't get the stitching out so now I am hand quilting what is left. This was a block exchange my guild did so I treasure it. Looking back I sure have learned a lot...my borders are terrible...I did diamonds on the sides and they didn't work out even...I am chuckling as it is almost ugly. Rhizo, those are really cute and festive. I'm sure they will be well received. OT - I'm not a cookie maker - give me a pie or other dessert assignment and I'll happily oblige - but for some reason I've never enjoyed making cookies much. I did do some cutout cookies to decorate for my niece and nephew a couple of times though, and was feeling pretty proud of myself - I'd outlined (squeeze bottle, not frosting bag), then flooded with royal icing, had them looking pretty darned good if I can say that ;-) The next time they were coming, nephew asked, Auntie M, can we have a different kind of cookie this time? Why, honey? The frosting on those tastes like egg whites to me!

The three kind of glasses is great and a pitcher too. When I use to drink Martinis I kept saying I need one of those shakers. It is nice to have when you need it. You could use the Misto for all kinds of things. Great swap.

I'm glad nothing broke! And if I'd known ahead of time (and had the address) I would have sent them to PFPP!!! I knew I couldn't pack them myself without major risk of breakage, so I had to get them to a UPS store when I wasn't working or otherwise committed... and I'm glad to see that they fulfilled their part of the bargain.

We have several shakers at home - and I like the metal one the best. Gets things COLDcolor>.

Also, Apple Pucker is an apple schnapps made by DeKuypers. My ex-bartender DH (the guy the antifreeze is named after) likes it, so we usually have it in stock...

also, about the card. Cinnamon rolls are ALSO one of my favorites, so of course I had to include that card in a swap of favorites.

The card is one of Ann T's BEAUTIFUL note cards. I really think she should be selling these on ebay!!

(and Ann, thanks for all your help with me during this swap. I didn't mean to be so high maintenance! helping me get a street address, helping Clare track her package on my doorstep and making sure I knew it was there, and making sure I knew that Karen was at Pigeon Forge so I didn't stress or feel forgotten. You are the best!! Hooray for Ann!!!)

Bizzo, you are a woman after my own heart. The booze themed box! I love it all (of course) and the glasses and pitcher are gorgeous! I also love the "right glass for the drink" set idea. Since we're big on cocktails at home we've found a shaker to be indispensible and yours looks like a nice, easy to handle 2 drink size.

What a great theme, LOL. I could only think of James Bond when I saw the shaker and read the martini reference. "shaken, not stirred", LOL, now RR can shake instead of stir!

Whoo Hoo! Tonight I used the shaker and a martini glass...I made a dry martini that I didn't get to drink because I had a @$#% phone call that lead to other things more important than a martini...I'll try again tomorrow!

Elizabeth, I'm going to the liquor store tomorrow to see if I can get the Apple Pucker. I can't wait to try the Jason Antifreeze. Thank you again for my wonderful swap box.
